Probably one of the finest examples of the series II drophead available today, that wold warrant any inspection or test. The car was imported from the United States where it was supplied to and owned by Mr JE Harrell Jnr of Houston Texas until it was reimported to the UK in 1989 where since then it has had 3 loving keepers.The original supplying documentation and service passport are still present with the car. Around 2008 the car underwent an exhaustive restoration back to the bare frame, where every component was serviced and or replaced. A bare shell respray was undertaken resulting in the unblemished vehicle you see today. Notable changes that were made to the US specification were the RHD conversion, triple carburettor and diff replacement to European specification. small details such as the re-handing of the windscreen wipers were also addressed along with the differential settings. The restoration works is supported by a large collection of colour photographs detailing the process. Following restoration the car covered approximately 22, 000 miles until it again changed hands into its current documented owner who used the car sparingly in 2012 until it was laid up in dry storage until now. We have had the car decommissioned by a renown E type specialist, who has verified that car is an exceptionally good example. With these cars commanding a range of prices that are very dependant on the cars provenance it is positively encourgaredl that a viewing and inspection of this car is made by a perspective buyer to appreciate its quality.
