Founded in 1897, Daimler has its origins at the dawn of the motor vehicle. This is a range of quintessentially British classic cars – the name Daimler was bought from Gottlieb Daimler early in the company’s history. Unique styling runs through the models, such as the 1950s-era Daimler Regency. The Daimler Majestic Major was the last vehicle produced before Jaguar took over the company in 1960, from which point the Daimler name was mainly used on upscale trim variants of Jaguars. The last models produced by Daimler included the 1990s-era Daimler Double Six and the Daimler Super V8.
